Avengers Loki!
Hello everyone!
I rarely swing around this place, except for every now & then, when I have new costumes to upload into my gallery. This time I felt I would share my latest creation, Loki from The Avengers movie. This was one of my most time consuming projects ever. To say that there is just a bit of detail in this doesn't even begin to cover the number of hours that I slaved over this thing! This is about 95% completed right now. Once I have it finished, I will only be waiting on better reference images of the helmet, spear and shoulder & cape details. Then I can have his full "king" look completed. ![]() Enjoy! Hope to pop back in in the not so distant future with everything completed. ![]() |

I'm shocked that no one has replied to your post yet because this is absolutely freaking amazing. I can't believe the amount of detail you've done on this costume! I'm working on an Avengers Loki costume right now and it's not going to be nearly as accurate (mostly due to lack of time and skills...). You've created it to movie accuracy. It's astounding. Fantastic work!
I'm also looking for more reference pictures for the spear. If you find some, will you be posting them on tumblr? I recently came across your Loki progress pictures on there and they are quite helpful. Good luck on the final 5%. I'm looking forward to seeing more! |

Thanks. I think people have a hard time recognizing the character without the horns. I noticed that the last 2 weekends, while wearing it. I think that once the movie is out, and they see how little he wears the helm, they'll get it then.
![]() And yes, once I have reference, progress will be maintained on my tumblr. ![]() ![]() |

I'm surprised people were having a hard time recognizing it. Yours is so much more complete and accurate than mine, but almost everyone at Megacon recognized Loki when they saw it. You must have dazzled them too much for them to think straight. XD

I recently went to the location in Central Park, where they filmed the end sequence in the movie. I got a really cool shot, except for the fact that I took it on the opposite side of the street he's walking on. lol ![]() |

Man your costume is fantastic! I'm sure you'll get more recognition once the movie is out next week. (btw, you wearing that to the midnight showing? you totally should). If anything, i'd say his outfit is more tailored than yours (i.e. your shoulder armor is a bit broad) but really I think you did a bang-up job. Are you still going to make the helm? And that jumping shot in the post higher up is spot on--kudos to you and the photographer!
EDIT: JK! Noticed the helm in your gallery pics. Nice job! It's beautiful! I hope it isn't fragile...

The Tom Hiddleston fan sites are bursting with pics.
When they filmed the one short scene in Central Park, there was papparazzi everywhere. So they did everyone the favor of capturing great reference. |

That is so cool. You look incredible. I can bow or something, if you want...
What did you make the helm out of? And what did you use to color and shine it? |
