Confused Newbie @.@

Need help picking a costume @.@
My friend randomly decided that she wants to go to the anime north con with me.
Thing is, she's not realy sure what to go as, because of her limited knowledge of anime, and I don't quite know what she should go as. She's Chinese, and she's got shoulder length black hair with a bit of a wave, and brown eyes, the usual. I don't think she's THAT thin, but sh'e not really wide either, although she really doesn't want a school-girl outfit. The only other thing I know is that she doesn't want to have to wear a wig or dye her hair, which really knocks out a lot of choices ... So, any suggestions? It's early, I know, but then again, it looks like we'll really need some time to make decisions ... Thankyou! |

Well like you said the fact she doesnt want to wear a wig or wear a school girl uniform makes it tough,but the fact that she has limited knowledge of anime actually could be a plus, because then she doesnt know what shes missingHEHE - you could go for a funny costume like a box of pocky or something like that that could just be cute. Or any kind of full costume

Alright I have a long list. Some just the Anime series because I don't know the character names others the series and the name of the character (indicated with a*)

or miroku....i dnt know maybe if she likes sailormoon she could do sailor saturn...I dont know i always do this !!!when im right here trying to do it i cant think of anything then latr they all come to me!!!!sry

I think Meilin from Card Captor Sakura would be perfect for her, except your friend's hair is probably too short. I've been wanting to do Meilin for a while, but I havn't gotten around to it. Anyways, good luck on finding a costume for her, and oh ya, what are you going as? ^_~

I think maybe she should read a couple manga or play a video game or two then go from there and decide a character that she likes. But if you do have limited time then I would just go with something simple or who knows skys the limit! Good luck!

I agree Lain sounds good.
Another one I thought of was Akane Tendo from Ranma- it's an easy first costume

The Ranma idea might work but thats kinda a school girl outfit. There is Love Hina or Rin from Inuyasha...ummm...Naruto's Haku....or Cho from Harry Potter lol j/k it's not anime. ^^

What has she watched? I think it would be best to start there. My first costume was Suzaku no Mika because I just adore the series.
