Cinderella (2015)

Technically this is live action but It more Disney then anything.

They use this image for the Disney’s D23 Expo presentation.

The one directed by Branagh, starring Cate Blanchette as Lady Tremaine? The above photo is not from this movie :P

But I do look forward to costume pics. Because Disney.

This is one of the many celebrity photo shoots by some famous photographer. This is not from a movie. I can't think of her name... Leibovitz? She did the Taylor swift rapunzel and the hitch hiking ghosts with jack black...

Oooh, interesting that Disney are reviving a number of their animated classics in to live action. I wonder if it is in part due to other companies doing live action takes on fairy tales? They may also be having success with Once Upon a Time?

OUAT? Doubt it. I think it's more to do with the world wide success of Tim Burton's "Alice..." and the modest success of "Snow White and the Huntsman". That might be why the studio decided to make "Maleficient" as well.

Regarding this film, I know the actor who plays Robb Stark on "Game of Thrones" plays the prince and Helena Bonham Carter plays the Fairy Godmother (as per the Internet). So here's hoping the film is actually good, rather than a money grab.

Yes the really did start to launch Live action movies after Tim Burton's Alice and Oz the great and powerful box office ratting/ticket sales.

Speaking of Tim Burton's Alice their doing another one but James Bobin will be directing.
