Coloring EYEBROWS: What do you do?

My eyebrows are way too dark for some of the wigs I have. Example:

The wig is actually even more shiny in person so it looks more off than shown.

I want to have my eyebrows either lightened or to match the look of wigs. Example:

How do you lighten or brighten up your eyebrows?

Use acrylic or fabric paint.

The very cheap way is:
Use a non-toxic glue stick and put it directly on your eyebrow.

Then you have these options
1) Put concealer on the eyebrows. Next use eyeshadow and/or eyeliner (color of your wig) to place over the 'concealed brows'. Voila~
or
2) Over the glue, use acrylic paint (color of your wig) over your eyebrows instead of eyeshadow

** If you have to make your eyebrows look a different way (say thinner and you dont feel like shaving/waxing plucking) use the first option

Good luck!

A. Colored liquid eye liner (or mascara) for bright/non-natural colors (like GREEN). I take out the liner brush and use a new mascara brush to apply it to my eyebrows.

B. Eyeshadow for natural colors. Works going to blonde or filling in darker.

I have dark black eyebrows, which often clash with my wig. For soem reason I just love the blonde characters.

Anyways, putting concealer over my eyebrows just never worked for me. I've tried stick concealer, liquid, mousse, etc. Same with white eyeshadow.

I've come to the conclusions that "covering" my eyebrows is not going to happen, so instead, I blend them with colored eyeliner or pat eyeshadow onto them. The color isn't as light as it could be, but much better than before. ^^

Eyebrows look way better when they're a little darker than your wig color (same goes for irl too, imo). My natural eyebrows are black, but it's not hard to cover it up as long as they are trimmed. Grooming your eyebrows beforehand is important and make things way easier. I just use eyeliner, and then eyeshadow so it grabs onto the hairs and looks more natural. If I need really light eyebrows I'll include my eyebrows in my foundation routine, and I'll apply white eyeliner before the previously mentioned process.

The glue method does work but I feel that it looks cake-y and really unnatural. If you go with the glue method, just make sure it's neat because I see tons of people put it on really sloppy and you can see glue around their eyebrows lol. That's just my opinion though! I know it works for some people

That wig looks great on you a lot better than the bright yellow wig I used for my Zelda cosplay - lol - my eyebrows are jet black and very thick (I could do a great Rock Lee cosplay XD) I tried colouring them but they just won't be any lighter :P I know some people use elmer's glue on their eyebrows, then use a concealer over them, then paint new ones on. I didn't have concealer though so I didn't try it, but maybe that could work for you?

I've used a pencil eyeliner so far and it works well for me. I've used black, dark brown, violet and white eyeliner and everything worked.. although the white made my eyebrows silver-ish, but it was fine seeing my wig was silver anyway.

I use brightly colored mascara that I got from My Diva's Closet:

I have relatively dark brown eyebrows, but using pink to match my Utena wig, and baby blue to match my Umi wig, have worked really well so far.

This was probably my main issue when I did it with white concealer (also a little too cakey) cuz my eyebrow hairs are so long it didn't catch on with the ends of the eyebrows. Thanks!

Ooh possibly! You don't have to pluck them all crazy if you don't usually, but trimming them is what matters most. Not only will the eyeshadow stick better and appear more opaque, but your natural eyebrows will look a little lighter to begin with

Try not to match it exactly as your wig. Go some shades darker. I would say your natural color is fine. Facial and body hair is most of the time darker than hair on your head and red heads usually have to darken their eyebrows because their so light

Hey guys,

It feel's like I've tried just about everything to get my eyebrows the right color but I have naturally very thick, bushy, black eyebrows and the best I've been able to do is cause the skin beneath my brows to be colored but not the hairs themselves.

I've used a brow pencil with a brush on one end, the pencil has wax in it but doesn't depost much color at all. I've covered my eyebrows with concealer, set it with powder and used dry eyeshadow to coat them but the black just ends up showing through and the hairs are not colored. I've used a combination of concealer, the wax pencil, and eyeshadow. I've even tried watercolor pencil and just wetting the tip of the pencil and 'drawing' strokes over the brows. NONE of it coats the hair. It only gets on my skin leaving the hairs black. I've even tried topping the concealer with a white pencil to lighten the brows even more. Then putting the color on top.

I am a little uneasy about using the glue, because I have a very adverse reaction to anything with a glue consistency touching my body and it seems like the wax in the pencil is doing the same thing the glue would be meant to do.

Do you use the eyeshadow wet? Do you use a swirly brush to apply the shadow? I've been using an angled one.

The wig is a fairly intense orange:
