How am I doing? (any advise?) o.o
Why hello XD
This January, I've begun my fitness goal of losing 20lbs for the New Year Resolution of 2012 XD not because I want to be skinny, it's because I wanted to start changing my own personality and raise my self esteem by having my body workout for health (especially cosplay XD LOL). I'm also taking a Swimming Skills class in college because I love to swim :3 I was 146lbs when I started going to the gym (LA Fitness), last week I checked my weight (and I only did three times during that time) I found out that I was 140.5lbs! :O (I also noted changes like my waist, hips and legs) The question is, how am I doing? and can you guys give me any suggestions or tips on helping me get to that goal? :3

Remember: fat weighs less than muscle.
So losing weight may not be your actual goal... If you are noticing your body getting 'toned', you are on the right track... If you are looking to be thinner, just be careful, do more cardio and less weights so you don't 'bulk up' At least that is what I've heard ^.^; |

Great job so far!! I'll give u my advice. Stay away from scales. My "weight" number caused me a lot of grielf and so much that I obsessed from it and I developed an eating disorder. Luckily I recovered and while I'm no where near perfect I measure by inches. Buy a tape measure from gnc for a few bucks that is circluar. I check my weight once in a while but measure results in inches. Take your diet in consideration as well. Cutting fatty sugar foods out will help you loose fat as well. Good luck!!!

I agree with Arti and LadyMisaGaga.
Even with a males' high testosterone levels it still takes us quite a bit of time to get bigger. So women will NEVER be able to get anywhere near as big as men do. FACT. So don't be afraid of weights. <3 I advise you to go on a high protein and low carb diet. Perfecting your diet is key in fat loss. Swimming is already a great cardio. So going to the gym is like a bonus! So far you're doing great. Good luck to ya.
