Silly Question - How do you "live" the Lolita life-style?

I'm extremely new to the "Lolita World" and I've always wanted to know how do you "live" Lolita? Just curious~

"Lifestyle lolita" means different things to different people. But typically people take it to mean doing Victorian-ish things. Taking an interest in different types of tea, baking, crafts like sewing or embroidery, reading books of the time period, etc. And of course wearing lolita as much as possible. I would say Momoko from Kamikaze Girls is a great example of what most people think of, if that helps for a point of reference.

^ Good example. But yes, it usually involves those types of hobbies, and wearing lolita almost all of the time, as well as adopting girly, proper mannerisms, such as refraining from foul language and such. If you are new to lolita, just remember that you should never feel like you are "less of a lolita" if you don't live the lifestyle everyday. I was once told that by a bit of a snobby girl when I first looked into the fashion. For most people, living a lolita lifestyle all the time is simply not practical, and you should be wearing the clothes...Not allowing the clothes to wear you.

Thank you so much!
I was afraid of someone telling me that "less of a lolita" for not living this life style.
Boost of confidence now!!

Nah. Most lifestyle lolitas are really aware that it's a choice most lolitas don't make. The only comments I've seen like that are people outside the fashion who assume we're supposed to always be nice and polite.

for me lifestyle lolita means i incorporate lolita into my daily life. ^^ like my room is very pink and girly, i have girly school supplies, and i want to wear lolita a lot. i also sew lolita things (well i'll be starting). i collect little antiques and girly things.

So far I'm just really a normal lolita i guess compared to what i can be doing to make my lifestyle more lolita like. XD

Yeah, I'm one of the people who were into lolita, but certainly would not be considered a lifestyle lolita. My mouth is rancid and I'm into some pretty "masculine" stuff, like FPS gaming and weaponry.

as much as i love the lolita fashion, I too would never be able to conform to the lolita life style as I am very much involved in chinese wushu (contemporary kung fu) I train almost everyday and honestly if you spotted me walking down the street, I would just pass as a very ordinary person - nothing special~ if you decide to follow the lolita lifestyle, more power to you!
