Hey all!
We had our first ever Sudbury Cosplay Picnic last year. It was a blast and people said they would deffinetly come again. So here it is! ^_^

Sudbury Cosplay Picnic
Date: June 23, 2012
Time: 11 to 5
Where: Fielding Memorial Park
What to bring: Snacks! Bring your own picnic lunch.
Cost: FREE!

If you want to help pay for the building, donations are always welcome ^_~

What is planned
Its a cosplay picnic so be sure to bring a picnic lunch. Bring something to sit on (a chair or a blanket is nice ^^) as we will be outside most of the time. We have an indoor area in case of rain and as a place for people to change if need be. Pictures are always fun, so bring your camera as photo shoots are most likely to happen ^_~ I hope to have some activities going on as well, but they are still in the planning stage. I will let you know what they are asap. I also plan on posting ideas up here to see if people like them ^^. Cosplays are strongly incouraged but not required. For now all Im looking for is a count of who is comming/would like to come and any suggestions of what we should do. ^_^

humm.. not sure there would be enough time to watch a marathon of stuff... with all the other things going on there, personally unless its raining i prefer to be outside most of the time ^.^

Does not have to be a marathon, but just having stuff playing would be cool ^^ poeple can watch if they want ^_~

that's what I'm thinking even if it's in the background while we're doing other things. We should really try to expand the event every year by adding things to it. maybe eventually we can turn it into a mini con or something

That actually sounds like fun, dont think there are any conventions anywhere near sudbury... Im still waiting for the day someone invents Cosplay Camping.. and i dont mean larp...

lol, I was also thinking of stuff like:
a theme (like kimonos, you dont have to wear one but it would be awsome if you wore something related ^_~)
possible an anime auction
maybe an official pin or something

LARP is cosplay camping but you're not worried about ruining your costume! For me, cosplay is indoors, LARP garb is outdoors. My garb is made to get dirty! I only go to LARP events to dress up, since I stopped playing Amtgard. (Friends and liquor are also reasons I go to LARP events.)

Me and 3 others are attending! We'll be some people from Soul Eater and possibly FullMetal Alchemist, :3
I don't have a projector but I do have those cords that attach to the tv from your laptop and display the picture and sound from it? I can bring them if we don't find a projector, hopefully theres a tv in there though, xDD
