Los Angeles Cosplay Video Group

Hello guys and gals. I tend to ramble so I'll try to keep this to the point.

I live in LA. I'd like to make cosplay videos of all kinds - comedy, drama, action, music video.
Here are some examples of stuff I like and what I'm aiming for:

Mega64, Video Game Flashmob Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/RoccoB64
God of War Indie Movie Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rylS-X0s-KM
Portal Short: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0x2l0NgSvyM
Assassin's Creed SMOSH Music Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12PWq22E9CQ

Here are the roles I'm looking for:
Cosplayers to model and act in the videos,
Any one who wants to help with the technical aspects on set, (I like to teach)
-and you don't even need to live in LA if you want to be involved in these ways-
Any one who wants to help conceptualize some ideas,
Any one who wants to practice their post-production visual effects.
Any one who can sing, compose or write lyrics for songs.

I own a decent camera (rebel t3i), some sound equipment and a car - so we're basically covered on the equipment front. All I really need is people who wanna join me. I'm a little poor at the moment, so we won't be having any amazing production value yet, but hopefully if we do well that will change.

As for where these shorts and stuff are going to go, we'll probably start a youtube channel. My main goal is to have fun. If we're feeling up to it, we should start looking for contests and conventions to submit to.

Unfortunately I'm not really interested in producing things for series I'm not a fan of - however I am willing to check out new series and games. I'd love to have some 'production meetings' where we can hang out and watch shows or play games together.
But here's a little list of some fandoms I dig - so you get an idea of my tastes:
Fullmetal Alchemist, Soul Eater, Tiger and Bunny, Excel Saga (waay behind on One Piece);
Ib, Final Fantasy, League of Legends, Bioshock, Dragon Age, Mario and Zelda;
Batman The Animated Series, Avatar The Last Airbender, Xiaolin Showdown, Phineas and Ferb.
Studio Ghibli, Satoshi Kon, Disney and Pixar stuff. Iron Giant. Coraline.

Just so ya know I'm not a crock, here are my credentials. These are some things I've worked on. I haven't actually been in charge yet, but I'm pretty sure I can accomplish the same visual level without my bosses. I was the one actually setting up the lights and holding the camera, so.

And a little album of pics I took at Anime Expo 2013:

(I need to get less shy about making requests of cosplayers so I can take better pictures.)

That's all I can think of for the moment...
So yeah, if you're interested, let me know how you'd like to help out, your general area of town and what fandoms you're into.
Cosplayers, let me know what cosplays you have already made and what you're planning to make soon.
I can't wait to hear from you guys. C:
