@Jono: I work for a non-profit, so I can get some awesome vacation deals. I didn't even think to check hotels through the Science Museum, and lo and behold, much better deal. And I can technically say I'm on "business", lol

@Michi: I just kind of lucked out that I come from a very "crafty" family. My Grandma was a professional artist and seamstress, and my Mom also raised me on sewing. My Dad's side is also from the South, so very strong emphasis on sewing, frilly dresses, etc. I think my first projects involved coin purses and quilting. and my first clothing was pajamas. It most definitely didn't happen overnight, and I'm sure you'll get to be an amazing cosplayer with some practice--and never be afraid to ask for help! So I won't hear another word involving you bashing yourself, mmmkay? ^____^

@ayaasan: Oh nice, I don't think I get anything for hotel/travel, but I do get some discount for Zoo, Sea World, Six Flags etc if I buy it through UCSD's box office. I think I do have something like $500/year for 'business', mostly for training or seminars but obviously this wouldn't apply lol...

@michi: Don't worry, I don't sew at all. My sister is the arts/crafts person, she made a bunch of plushies and sold a decent amount at AX. And I'm sure once you get here, you can probably work with ayaasan/tulipe/link to learn!

Michi: Don't worry! It took me a while to understand it xD The only thing I'm scared of making are sleeves :O I do have my mom who does sew (just rarely has time to help me) and me and my grandmother have a small language barrier >.<

I actually get into anything associated with Balboa Park for free. Yay! Gotta have some perks here and there, lol. I always go "Dutch" with people when I go to the museums, zoo, aquarium, wild animal park, etc.

Very excited to meet everyone tomorrow!!~ I'm going to go crash for awhile now, since I just finished working customer service for 8 hours *blargh*
