I'm looking for a wig for Daenerys form Game of Thrones. There are a few good wigs I could use form Arda just not sure what one, and what color. Will be making her Qarth dress, so her hair will be based off that. Clearly I'm looking into an Arda wig, but if there is another site with similar quality wigs as Arda I will look into that.

Also this one come in ash blond and to add waves like you can actually just braid the wig into 1/2" braids and pour boiled water over the braids to reset the shape. Let them air dry and take the braids out.

So it seems Arda has a new wig coming out I think this may work if I can loosen the curls a bit. But as of now only two colors I can get for her are silver or platinum.

Sadly Platinum is a yellow tone blonde. It's a shame it doesn't come in Ash Blonde yet as that would be closer.

Yeah, I'll wait it out and see if they come out with it in Ash blonde or even better Titanium blonde. Don't need it till October, so I hope they will have this in one of those colors by then.

I'm working on a different Daenerys costume, but was looking at Arda wigs as well. Are there any pictures of the new Titanium blonde wigs? It's one thing to see the color swatch, but another to see it on an actual wig. It looks like it would be dead on for Dany's hair color, but I want to be sure before I shell out a bunch of money.

edit: I should add that this wig is pricey and I used a different color (as you can see this one won't be released until the 11th) but I'll be ordering another one in this color to be closer to Dany. The style of it was *exactly* what I was going for. but it's a gorgeous, full wig and I love it to biiiiiits for Dany. it will last you a long time.

I am making this dress as well. I am having a hard time finding a suitable fabric that i will not have to paint a whole lot. What are you using?

I'm using something I found at Joanns, it's Silkessence in Blue Radiance. As well as stencil spray in gold glimmer. Going to make a stencil and spray the gold on. I have seen some people use fabric that looks like it came with blue in and gold (though not spot on to hers). But not sure where they found it. I myself have spent many nights looking for fabric and found nothing. Which is why I'm going to spray it. Also this way I hope to get it closer to what here dress looks like. Another person sponge painted the gold on, which looked really good and close. But I like you don't want to spend the time doing that. This costume is just for fun, so want to take it easy while still trying to make it look right. I hope that helps, also will be taking lots of pics, and if what I'm doing comes out right I'll do a small tutorial to help people make there.

I'm working on this costume for a con at the end of the month, and found a really good wig a while back. The Lunar Dragon from here:

I'm attending a GoT-themed party in mid-September and figured that throwing a Daenerys costume together might be easier than some of the other characters' outfits. I think the hardest part might be finding a good wig in stock!

Agree, I have every thing on the costume planed out but the wig. The one I posted above is the one I'm really set on, but I don't even know if they will have it in the color I want by the time I need it. I asked them if they might have it that in that color any time soon. But all they told me was they did not take personal orders any more, and that I could suggest that color on there suggestions board. Really had hoped for a yes or no answer.

I know this is extremely late, but I figured for anyone else in this predicament I'd re-open the thread. For my Daenerys cosplay I quite literally stumbled across this wig from The Five Wits and MY GOD is it AMAZING!. Perfect Colour, length, re-stylable, etc. You can see it here: thefivewits.net/2011/09/lunar-dragon-fire-resist-20/

You can also check out my Daenerys Cosplay on my deviantART, http://tarah-rex.deviantart.com/gallery/40908874, as I restyled it to a classic Khaleesi style. My only complaint is that is does tangle quite easily, but I was expecting that with a wig of this length and style.
