I was thinking about doing a Spirit Albarn costume later on in the year, but had 2 things I needed advice on: the tie and the wig.

I was planning on making the tie with black fabric but have no idea how to go about it. I have a tie from my Haruhi costume I could trace onto the fabric and just add the cross, but would that even work? I'm needing help.

Next is finding a wig. I found this one http://shop.cosplay.com/monica.html in shadow red but I'm not quite sure if I like it or not. I would definately need to trim it down a bit. I really need someone's opinion, and other options to look at (but nothing where I have to use Paypal or a money order).

Any help/opinions whatsoever is much appreciated.

I can help a little:

for a wig I used - http://thefivewits.net/2010/06/giant-prop-sand-slam/

as for the tie, I bought a clip on tie from wal-mart (10 bucks) folded the bottom underneath and sewed it so it was flat, and took the "excess" trimmed it off and used it as the cross
