Crysis 3

Who knows of a material that comes with the little hexagonal bumps like on the Crysis Nanosuit?

Perforated metal or plastic could do a decent job at faking it..

Round holes, but similar pattern.

Each one of those images makes the texture look different, to me. In one, it seems flat, another it seems like hexagons that bulge out, and in another they seem to dent in.

it would not do the job. those ref pics are of crysis 2 not 3. take the hexagonal print, get rid of the print and raise the hexagons for a non slip like patern.

Well if you really want to get specific about it, you will probably have to mold something yourself. I was thinking you could use a honeycomb grid from a photographic light to get the shape.

A little bit of googling also turned up some useful cake decorating possibilities...

Or maybe somebody else has a magic material they know of so you don't have to mold your own.
