Sheik, Legend of Zelda OOT

Hello everyone! I have Sheik practically finished, but I am having trouble with making the hat/turbin.

Does anyone have an idea how to make one that will be smooth and nice looking? I really don't want to just wrap the material over my wig or try to glue one to a beanie, that would look really terrible.

I tried to find some tutorials, but didn't have any luck.
If you have any suggestions please let me know!

Thank you guys!

What I did for my Sheik cosplay as I took strips of the material I was using and using a wig head and lots of pins, pinned each strip in the position I wanted it in. Once I was happy with the placement I carefully took it all apart one layer at a time and once I was back to the beginning I used a low temp hot glue gun and very small amounts of glue to stick each piece in it's place. I used hot glue because with bandages/wrappings you don't see threads so sewing would ruin the appearence of it being bandages/wrappings. If you don't put to much glue then it should keep a kind of loose appearence without it falling apart or you having to wrap your head/wig every time you change the costume.

Hope that helps!
