Exclamation Would you say it's safe to get drunk while wearing circle lenses?

Lol yeah it's a silly question, I'm just scared that I'll screw up my contacts somehow or lose them in my eye or something lol

Is it safe?

About as safe as getting drunk wearing other contacts. Which is to say that you're going to be dealing with potential dehydration, which circle lenses tend to exacerbate, and a much higher likelihood of forgetting basic self-care stuff like when to take them out, how to clean them, where you put them, and so on.

Pretty much this. Where alcohol is concerned, it is always a good idea to err on the side of caution and in this case take your lenses out before getting your drank on to keep both the lenses and your eyes safe. Dry, irritated eyes due to contacts + potent potables is not a good time and if you are at a gathering/party/bar, the lighting is usually lower so your sweet circle lenses are not going to get noticed much. Save them for a time when you can show them off when not under the influence... if you want to play it safe, that is.

I'm sorry but this is kind of obvious. Is anything really 'safe' when your drunk? Not exactly it just depends.

Depends how accustomed you are to the routine of wearing contacts. Before I had laser surgery, I was blind pretty much my whole life and needed glasses or contacts all the time unless sleeping or showering. I could drink, do various mind-altering drugs, and still remember to take out my contacts because it was simply habit.

If you're normally 20/20 and wear contacts just for costumes, you may not have the same muscle memory when drunk.

As per my experience, I don't know if it's safe. ...but I can say it's possible.

I'd recommend taking them out first. Better safe than sorry.
