Pretty much this. Where alcohol is concerned, it is always a good idea to err on the side of caution and in this case take your lenses out before getting your drank on
to keep both the lenses and your eyes safe. Dry, irritated eyes due to contacts + potent potables is not a good time and if you are at a gathering/party/bar, the lighting is usually lower so your sweet circle lenses are not going to get noticed much. Save them for a time when you can show them off when not under the influence... if you want to play it safe, that is.
