The only thing I am jealous of you Canikon people about is how you have loads of lenses cheap! Sure, I can get old manual focus ones all the way back to before I was born and stick them on my camera, but all the really good ones I am interested in can not be found. It makes me sad.

yeah, not the most functional things, but Nikon-F and Pentax-K get along fairly well (Ive read plenty of stories of Pentax users taking old Nikkor glass onto theirs with no real problems, I suppose its fitting, as the only two Legacy mounts around. . .

oh and just FYI, as it is a Legacy Mount, Nikon-F can also do that "Lenses from before I was born" thing there are limitations, but for the most part anything after the late 70s will all mate to eachother very well Ive been looking at building a collection of old Ai glass to use, but the early AF lenses go for round the same money and perform just as well optically, so I start leaning into them :P

I've heard about "force fit" on Nikon to Pentax, but wasn't sure how well it would work. Obviously I'd have a fully manual lens on there, but I already have some of those. Would be interesting to try on my backup body.

By forcefit you mean adapter i hope.

I doubt the other brands would go for the same thing The light loss isn't worth being cool.

I was kidding about the force fit, though there are people who I have seen stick one on. They will not lock into place, but they will go on. Personally I would use an adapter. I already do that for a couple M42 lenses I have.
