Deathwing jaw

So I'm currently working on a female deathwing/humanoid cosplay. I have been doing sketchs, and working out how to make everything. The one thing Im stuck on is his jaw. I have seen a few cosplays by females with no jaw. And I think his massive metal jaw MAKES deathwing. So I must have it. But I also want it to have a more feminine feel, more dainty if you will. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas, how to make a jaw piece that isnt massive and eats my face. And also, any ideas on how to make it stay on, or attach it?

I've seen masks that have two parts, a lower and an upper, each with its own straps, so the mask/bird can open and close its mouth. You could do something like that. Basically, a half mask that straps around your jaw. Not exactly dainty though... you could make it out of craft foam so it's not too bulky I guess.

You could make it into more of a neckpiece than a face attachment.

For My jaw I uses plastic id bag ties that wrap around my ear. http://www.cosplay.com/photo/3232331/ You can Kind of see it in that photo. It works well enough, but it sometimes get annoying after a while. Getting the right fit too was a bit touch and go.

She used velcro to attach their jaw.

You could do something like this possibly like Lala recomended:

thanks for the ideas. the neck piece one seems the most doable right now. ive seen the other jaws, and they just seems so big and you see nothing else but jaw.
