Is there anybody else who wears wigs just for everyday fashion? Like not for cosplay, or because of hair loss? Just for fun or because you like it. I do it all the time and people make it seem like I'm the only person who does it and that's it's really weird.
To be honest I don't think it's that different than false eyelashes or extensions.
I really enjoy being able to have a different hairstyle, length, and/or color every day.
What is everybody else's take on this?

Wigs aren't mega-comfy, so I certainly don't do it on a regular basis, but on occasion I'll throw on a favourite wig to wear out. Just nothing very long or heavily styled because it'd be a nightmare to fix after. My usual one is my Aoi wig (a shortish scruffy/shaggy dark purple wig that looks fantastic and constantly gets me "I love your hair!"comments).

I do all the time. 95% of my family pictures or friend pictures I'm in a wig. It's honestly no different then extensions....well it's less painful. I did this LOOONNNGGG before I started cosplay. Simply because, I have curly hair and if the weather changes or it starts to rain or get humid my hair will frizz and curl, so I just wear a wig to withstand the weather. I'm also EXTREMELY lazy and I don't want to straighten or do my hair all the time, I even shaved my head at one point just so I wouldn't have to go through the pain of shampoo and conditioner. Yep. Wigs = friend.

I've worn wigs on occasion, just out places if I feel a bit spunky or want to do something new. Usually my Gumi wig since it takes the least styling, or a lolita inspired wig with clips.
Sometimes it's just fun to change up the style abit, but I agree, they arn't the most comfortable so I would never wear one every day.

I wear wigs on a daily basis because I compulsively pull out my hair.

I only have my Kaito wig left, so I don't wear wigs, but if I have one which looked a bit more normal, then I'd wear it like daily.

Even though I don't wear a wig, I wear a tail daily. Does that count?

i would like to but unfortunately wigs, headbands, and hats give me major head aches after an hour or 2 so only on cosplay days do i tough it out

I think wearing the wigs in the the daily life is OK. If I want to change my hairstyle and I can't reach the purpose with my own hair, I would buy a wig. But I think it's not good to wear a wig in summer, since it will make me uncomfortable.

I want to dye my hair a crazy color but I don't for two reasons:

1) I recently cut the damaged ends off my hair, so about half my hair is gone. I'm trying to keep it as healthy as possible so I can grow it out long again. In order to dye it pink or green, I'd have to bleach my dark brown, almost black hair. Not even close to being good for it.

2) My husband prefers my dark hair (though he would love me either way d: ).

I actually never thought of just wearing a wig out when I feel like I want that green or pink hair I've always wanted. I might do this when I have enough money to buy an extra wig o: I could get a long one to give me my long-hair fix too. I miss my butt-length hair so much :c Thanks for the idea!

I use to dye my hair like crazy and being a natural red head I would always have to bleach my hair first so after having to cut my hair off about a year ago because it was so damaged I really want to change my hair but I am going to start buying wigs to wear whenever I want a change so I can keep my natural hair healthy

I'm in college studying theatre, so pretty much anything goes lol I haven't worn a wig to school YET, but I most likely will, and not get too many strange looks haha
