You're not interrupting anything, it's fine to post! A CMV is a 'cosplay music video'. There's a bunch of YouTube as examples since I'm horrible at explaining things. They're like music videos except done in cosplay. I'm not sure if there is a specific word used to refer to long-distance groups but CMVs can be made any way (there are amazing ones both long-distance and filmed in one location). They could also probably include random dancing and lip-syncing which I think this group will probably be more focused on since choreographing something might be difficult. But that's just my opinion.

Back to the chat, I second a Pokemon video! But what about people that don't have costumes for that series? If they can't put one together can they still participate in another costume?

well not everyone has to be in a video if they don't know/like the series. I'm not that huge of a pokemon fan, but I do have a poliwhirl ginjika that I have to make for a pokemon event that I'm working.

Yes! a video with different costumes would be awesome, they dont all have to be pokemon , that was just a idea.

I haven't posted on here in a while. I'm going to catch up on posts XD

For the All Series Video, why don't we do the song 'High School Never Ends' by Bowling For Soup?

AH! I see, very cool! So it would be similar to this professional done fan made music video of the RPG game Skyrim.

Oh and just to throw it out there, I too am interest in being a part this project! That is, if you are still accepting new people. :-)
Though I'm still learning about all of this and am currently working on my first costume.

I'm assuming that since everyone lives a great distance from each other, you are recording your individual portion's and then sending them all to one person? Then having that one or those two people edit it all together as well as adding all the special effects?

I think the manager (idk person incharge) said we don't not accept new comers so I'm guess you could join! xD

*raises a hand* I too am interested in this operation, though I'm just a little more on the production side then the costume making side. If you guys are in need of a technical camera person in CA, I'm up for grabs. Though more than anything it seems like this group needs some one to take the reigns and finally decide that a project is ready to take flight and tell everyone involved to make it happen.

Is there any thread away from here with organized data or set out rules?
Do you all have access to a video camera? What kind?
Do any of you live close enough to each other that you can shoot together?

Well, no there is no thread with organized data or rules.
I have a camera that shoots videos. I don't remember what kind, but its HQ.
And some of us live in the same state, but a few hours away from each other. For example: Me and Jrockfreak.

Added to that, since some of us live in the same state, we can meet at anime conventions/meet ups and film there. =)

Alright, sounds good. So let met just recap here;
The current active members seem to be PumpkinBat, jrockfreak, melinia355, gokulambo88, Kibalover100, and RitsukaUzumaki (possible newbies are xSweetxLovex and wisetaner). So far jrockgreak and kibalover100 have camera access.

Series overlap between members is as follows:
Pokemon:
Eevee, Mew, Flygon
Brock
Girl Trainer

Naruto:
Sasuke
Naruto, Kiba
Deidara

Vocaloid:
Miku
Len
Luka

Host Club:
Kyoya
Haruhi

Black Butler:
Ciel, Alois
Hannah
Alois, Ciel, Elizabeth

Y'all seem to have agreed on Highschool Never Ends mash-up of all different kinds of costumes. I would suggest each of you decide which costume you have is best suited to the song, possibly even multiple costumes since there are so few members; if you can think of in-character things you could do that are relevant to the song that would be awesome, try to discuss with people here to get ideas - if not, just go with the default of lip-syncing and dancing I guess. I suppose each costume would do the whole song through and then the editor will just pick who to cut to whenever. That would be my back-up game plan suggestion if you guys aren't thinking of something else already.

If you guys do decide to meet at AWA, that's in September, so maybe you should try to have all footage submitted to whoever is editing by October?

Are any of you willing to and or experienced with editing?
