Soo, there are a bunch of Florida cosplay threads... but most of them seem to be based around central or north Florida. Alas, I am of the Southern Floridian variety, and for the past several years, have been unable to attend central and north Florida conventions. Sucks when you're a jobless bum with no car.

Anyways, this is my attempt at trying to find other cosplayers in the South Florida region (ideally Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Hollywood, Homestead, etc.) and maybe even establish a cosplay group.

Because if you're anything like me and can't afford/make it to those fancy central FL cons, you're pretty cosplay starved up until summer. Maybe I just want to make an excuse to have a cosplay meet, or a photoshoot, or just get together minus costumes with other people of the same interests. But gosh-darned, I think that's a good reason since I'm the only person I know who's into cosplay. -w-

So if you're a South Florida cosplayers, raise your hand!

oh em gee yay! And yes, I do. My DA, it's only got a couple of my cosplay stuff though. Most of it is just sketches and crappy comics. >.>

I'm hoping to. I'm kind of broke off of my butt right now, so if I do go I'll be buying tickets at the door - which means I probably won't be going all four days at FSC. I'll probably only be going Friday or Saturday. But I definitely want to try to get the Early Cow special for MizuCon if I can, see if maybe I can go all three days. Whatever the case, I'll at least be attending one day each.

Right now, whatever I can. I'm kind of hopelessly broke at the moment. Most of my costumes are funded by my parents, but I usually have supply myself with con tickets. Right now, I am so totally broke, I can't afford a ticket for even SuperCon in June/July because I have no income since I am no longer needed as a babysitter. But most of the cons are still a while away, so here's to hoping I find a job or some other means of income soon. *fingers crossed*

I am going to try and see about going to Hatsume Festival, though. The only problem is that it's on St. Patrick's Day weekend and my niece's birthday is the 18th. I have no idea what my sister is doing regarding her birthday party. If it's going to be Sunday, then I'll be going Saturday. If it's Saturday, I highly doubt I'll be going Sunday since I mostly want to go to Hatsume to enter the costume contest. Of course, there's also the chance that my sister might not even do it on the same weekend. Everything's really up in the air at the moment. D:

I believe if you purchase a weekend pass, and you volunteer for 10 hours, they will reimburse you for the ticket cost and you'll be able to keep the shirt they provide to volunteer as staff. Read this for more info, if you're interested: http://www.floridasupercon.com/volunteer
