Juliet Starling

What kind of fabric should I get to make a Juliet Starling Cosplay ?
Just for the top, skirt, thigh highs, wrist band, and leg warmers

Cotton, and maybe jersey type material for the leg warmers and wristband.

Not cotton. Unless it's just for the skirt. The top needs to be able to stretch so its tight. So a stretch material. Also cotton if you do use it can make it look in a way cheap because it is. I would save and use coupons for the better fabric.

I am making the same costume as you so just a little in-site. The skirt because it is pleated with the pink/purple material you should get that don't first. I made mine out of a stretch material so I can just slip it on and off without an ugly zipper. The white waist band don't make it into a very sharp or long v-shape. Because my skirt is made of stretch fabric it's a little heavy (not like ridiculously heavy) and it pulls it so it looks like the photos. I had to re-do that part because mine looked so odd with a white v-shape going so far down XD The top so far really isn't that hard to make. I did line mine but that is just me. The wording on the leggins is something I am doing this week. I am not using iron on transfers so we will see how it all works.

real cheerleading outfits are made from heavy double knit polyester. That fabric has give, but not stretch, holds a pleat beautifully, and washes easily.

How would one start with the top? I've seen people cut the colors out into shapes but I don't know how they put the shapes together to form the bra.
