Admission price difference
I was just wondering if there was any crucial difference between the $55 admission fee and the Platinum $120 fee. It says that with the $120 fee there is priority placement, admission to a gaming tournament, access to the charity ball, and a free T-shirt.
Of all those all I'm really interested in is the charity ball (dancing) and the gaming room's (not sure if that's the same as the gaming tournament). If I were to only get the $55 admission would that mean I would not be able to go to the dance or the gaming room's? Which fee do people usually go with and are you able participate in everything? What all is available to participate in? The reason I'm asking all this is that I found out that the convention is 24 hours a day through out the three days. In which case I'm considering just getting a hotel room there, but that would mean I would have to go with the lower admission fee. Not enough money for everything. Any thoughts? ![]() |

You can still get into both the gaming room and the charity ball (although I believe the cost for the ball is $10) if you're not a platinum attendant. It's kind of like the platinum badge is a "collector's edition" - you still get the same content as the regular badge, there's just a few bonus perks (like the t-shirt, quicker lines getting into the con, and admission to the ball without the $10 fee).
Hope that answers your question! ![]() |
