I'm I little vexed as I can't use my personal Facebook account anymore as it's tied into my work and my cosplay/blog page won't allow me join groups or events.

I think 2 photoshoot day are in order, I just know a lot of cosplayers that usually have something else planned on Saturday as well. ^_^


Edit: I'm think of adding gemstome in crystal and topaz to all the jewelry "crown" and earnings.

I contacted the seller to see how long the beads are but my neck and arms are not that long so this might be a perfect match.

Edit they are 6cm long. I think I'm good as I'll be adding black pearls.

You can always make a cosplay account. I know some people who have them. Just make sure cosplay is not in the name or else it might get deleted. I know some accounts that did because of that.

Which opal should I use for Nehelenia crown thing. lol

I didn't want straight black so I made these two.

EDIT: I picked up two perfect fabrics for Nehelenia yesterday at Len's Mill when looking for supplise. A curtain fabric periwinkle blue/violet weave sheers that has a dimorphic quality for her cape. If shift from a perwinkle to violet purple in the folds subtly. The other was again a curtain fabric that is sem-opaque white with small swirls and sporadic tiny flowers in it I got on clearance for 15% because it was the last of the roll for the white layer of her dress. Now I jut need to find a black dress fabric.

Well my necklace came in the mail last know only one of them and it was broken. >_<

So either they shipped them out separate or their was a mailing error.

It's also NOT the right size and the measurement where WAY off.

I've had 0 luck finding beads for Beryl's earrings, looks like I'll be making them myself, most likely from paper clay as they do not need to be translucent

To make a custom shade of purple I mixed blue into the purple clay and kneaded it until is was blend.

The nice thing about Fimo is for large piece you can make a base shape out of aluminum foil and just cover it in your clay to make it light weight.

I'm thinking about doing Mistress Nine (haven't decided between anime, manga, or SeraMyu version). It's a big maybe.

I's stick with the anime version as there really is not much of a difference between the manga and anime and her colours are more recognizable I from the anime.


The SeraMyu version of Nehelenia was disastrous. >_< Plus Nehelenia as much more of a specter then a queen in the manga.

Is it acceptable to combine features from different versions, or is this something cosplayers frown upon?

My main issue is the arms... I am very insecure about showing my upper arms. I think they're my ugliest feature. I prefer to cover them. The SeraMyu version of Mistress Nine has the arms covered (like in this picture: http://pl.sailormoon.wikia.com/wiki/..._9_Seramyu.jpg ).

Honestly I see nothing wrong with combining parts of the same character as long as it is still recognizable of which character the person is cosplaying.
