Poison Ivy Zentai?
![]() Hey coscom! I'll be cosplaying this version of Poison Ivy and I've been looking online for hours for a good zentai suit/unitard that would cover most my upper body and legs since I really don't want to go through painting myself again. However the main issue I've been coming across are wrong color or really obvious seams. I would like it to at least look SORT of natural so the seams really bother me, you know? Is it possible to get a suit without them or am I just making too big a deal out of it? Any websites y'all know of where I can get a quality zentai suit or unitard? Already know of: http://www.zentai-zentai.com http://www.welovecolors.com/ http://www.theatrehouse.com http://riversedgedancewear.com/ http://www.discountdance.com http://www.dancewearsolutions.com/

Is it that much of a bitch to paint yourself? Lol. I am planning to go as Ivy (Arkham Asyulum version) for Sandiego comic con next year, and I have NEVER painted my whole body for a cosplay before, so I am curious.
Why not try sheer tights that are green, if you end up not finding the right zentai suit?

So what I've seen for Ivy's is this: either bodypaint or tights works. A bodysuit is probably not going to give you the look that you want (naturally green skin). If I were you, though, I'd look through some poison ivy cosplays and see if you can find someone who used a zentai or zentai-like suit so that you can decide for yourself if it'll get you the look you want. I, personally, would reccomend against it.
Really if you want green skin then body paint is, unfortunetly, the way to go. PAX is excellent, though difficult to get off. Maybe a mix of tights and a matching bodypaint? Then you'd only have to paint the exposed skin. |
