Cloud Steady Light pauldron?

This is the one thing I cannot figure out how to make for the life of me.I cut up a milk carton to look like a basic pauldron, but that's all I've got for now. I was going to glue bottle caps around it to make the little bump thingies, and then I was going to paint it, would it work? I'm not going for movie-replica quality here, but...

What I have thus far, without any of the extra bits and bobs. Also have some model magic I may work into it...

Going to try and get this done for Connecticon in a couple weeks.

By the looks of the armor, it has more of a circular curvature to the overall design.

However it's up to you. If you're satisfied with the design then it's fine.
When in doubt, just take the next small step.
With that next step take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
When the mind is calm you realize the best is still yet to come.

I go over how to make curved surfaces in my Reckless Fist build. It all comes down to properly darting a pieces and dishing in certain spots. These kinds of techniques are critical in helmet craft as well. Hope that helps!
