On Saturday, it looks like I'll be doing a very small Photo shoot with a few friends. It's going to be Marvel and DC only. I felt it best to mention this because it is going to be done at 12 noon and I don't want to lose the fountain to something else.

I'll be there! I'm dusting off my my Battle Royale training video girl since it's finally out on DVD in the States.
I'm also thinking about bringing my Game of Thrones Melisandre. Any other Game of Thrones cosplayers out there? I'm looking to join a group.

Sweet, see you there my friend.

Rent the 85L for this con, or if you want to go crazy 200mm f2 lens. The ACC is actually big enough to accommodate for that gigantic lens ^__^

Soooo this is my first con and my first time cosplaying in public, which is kinda scary 'cause I'm a plus-size princess and a newb to boot. I have two costumes I'm planning on bringing: Fionna from Adventure Time (which I realize isn't as creative as it was when I first put it together two years ago, but it's comfy!) and Alice and The Warden (for my b/f) from Superjail done entirely out of duct tape for the masquerade. We are driving down from the Bay Area sometime that Friday and I have no idea what to expect! Is anyone else from the Bay going? How many costumes do most people usually bring? Any advice? Thanks!

I'll be heading down from San Jose with a friend on Thursday. I've never been to a con in Anaheim, so I'm not sure what to expect either, but I hear it's nice. People bring as many costumes as they want, really (well, also as many as they can realistically fit in their vehicle). Some people love switching between many in a single day, and some people are fine sticking with one all weekend. Just focus on having fun at your first con, and then figure out whether you want to bring more or less costumes next time.

Best piece of advice: stay hydrated.

You'll do fine as long as you are enthusiastic. Also, remember the 5-2-1 Rule: at least 5 hours of sleep, 2 good meals, and 1 shower per 24 hour period.

If you're doing Super Jail cosplay, it's sure to be a hit.

Meilin in her "sniper mode." So I'll have a rifle and be looking badass. Hopefully. If I get the costume done in time (stupid real life).

Hello!

I will be going to this con and it will be my first one in California since I just moved here. I am hoping to have all my cosplays done before hand.

I am going to try and go as Terra armor from Kingdom Hearts / Hellgate london Templar / Little Slugger(If I can wear the roller blades) and maybe League of legends char.

Will be great to meet people from around the area that share the same interests

You are going to do fine and you will have so much fun. I'm bringing 3 costumes with me but my best advice is:
1. Have an emergency repair kit with you
2. Take breaks by getting water
I learned this one the hard way and almost passed out
3. HAVE FUN
this is the most important one

And the feeling of being scary is normal I still get that way before cons but once i'm there especially with someone I know that scary part just goes away. And good luck for the masquerade they are alot of fun.

Hello everyone!

This will be my first time attending WonderCon, and it is actually my first con! I'm incredibly excited/nervous. I have absolutely no idea what to expect! I will be cosplaying as a female version of Loki in Stuttgart, Germany from The Avengers. Not sure which days I'll wear the costume. I'm dragging my parents along just because I couldn't find anyone else to go with. Hopefully it won't be too weird with me walking around all dressed up and them... not.

Any other Avengers out there? I think someone mentioned a Marvel meet-up earlier, any new developments?

I highly second the emergency kit! Mine has bailed me out more than once. Water water water!

So i'm still not 100% on what I'm bringing but right now I'm planning Bishock Infinite Elizabeth, Professor McGonagall and probably fem!Riddler. I really want to finish Rancis Fluggerbutter in time buuuuut probably not.
