Hi, so right now I'm making Alice's coat, but I don't really know how to make the zigzag that separates the crimson from the white. How do I sew it, and when I'm drafting the pattern for it, how do I draw it so it continues from the front piece to the back in one continuous zigzag?

I would cut the coat in white, then make the red part just a very large applique.
Draw on your pattern (or make a copy and draw on it) to determine the zig zag layout. I assume there is a side seam as well as a center back, use the seam points as the higher points (the zigs if you will) and then measure and draw to get the lower points (the zags). I'd use a ruler and calculate the lower points so they are exactly centered on the pattern panel in front, the transfer this same measurement to the back.
