A funny true story at Funcoland

Hi all,

I went to funcoland a couple months ago and was talking the TG-16 (Turbo Grafx-16) with another customer and a clerk asked me to stop talking about adult material in his store.

I told him I was talking gaming and he told to to quit or leave because it was not appropreate for the kids in the store to hear such adult things.

I asked him what he tought I was talking about and he replied, "Transgender kids under 16".

I burster out in laughter and told him that the TG-16 was a console system released by NEC in 1988 but failed due to bad marketing descisions but lasted in Japan under the name of PC Engine til 1998.

He still told me to leave and I'm not exactly welcomed there anymore.

Get your facts straight, man! In Funco-speak, the following acronyms have slightly different meanings:

TG16 - Trans-Gender kids under 16
NES - Necrophiliac Encephilitis Sufferers
SMS - Silicone-Modified Singles
NEOGEO - National Erotica Organization for Gigantically-Endowed Otters
LYNX - Lesbian Youth Network eXchange
PSX - Plushie Strippers and X-dressers

and of course, the notorious

DREAMCAST - Dating Resource for Eastern Appalachian Members of Christians Against Spiteful Truckdrivers.

That person seems....insane o_O. How can they work there and not know about the existance of a certain video game system? Where did they think Bonk came from?

Someone working at a store where they sell older, used games and old systems.. not knowing about Turbo Grafx-16/PC Engine.... Oh my. That's really sad. ^_^; And even MORE sad that even after you explained, he still wanted you out! That's silly. That guy needs help. Geeeeeez.

Bonk in Europe/Asia is known as PC Kid because outside of the US the word Bonk is another term for sex.
