Hello, is anyone here interested in a Magi gathering at Katsucon 2013? The anime will be airing this fall/winter, so perhaps it would be a good chance for fans of the series to meet each other.

I will be cosplaying as Ren Hakuryuu.

Ah! It's a personal project of mine, but I've been slowly collecting materials and references to make Kougyoku .. ( * *)
I was hoping to get it done for the spring season, but if things go well this winter, I might have it in time for Katsu ~
Otherwise, I will at least show up as Aladdin ( ^ ^)

I'm hoping to have Hakuei at least done by late December or early January for Katsucon but I'll have Morgiana fixed up for it as back up!

Fingers crossed, but I'll be there! The plan is to have Ren Kouha finished by then. If not, I'll wear Alibaba again

Giving this a bump to ask if we've thought about times and locations for this meet-up. I can't guarantee my availability on Friday, so my vote is for either Saturday or Sunday, sometime during daylight hours (since the photos look so much better then). As for a location, the gazebo is obviously a desirable spot but it's in high demand. Any thoughts?

The gazebo I think is a great central meeting spot. If it is too crowded we can always move. I think alot of people seem to be doing Magi cosplays on Saturday. So my vote is for then. But Sunday could be nice too, seeing as how it won't be too crazy there. We could have one both days, as right now I'm thinking of doing Kouha on Saturday and Alibaba for Sunday. But that is me though, I can't speak for everyone else. (And plus who knows if that would change within the next few months) As for time, I think maybe something around early afternoon-ish. Just cause, again, I think the space will not be as crowded.

I should be fine for whatever day at this point; I don't think a lot of the gatherings for other series have decided on times yet, so I don't think a lot of us will have too much preference one way or the other.

Just a thought, but do you guys want to do something else with the gathering other than just take photos? For instance, we had a tea party last year for the Umineko cosplay meet-up, and the Otakon D.Gray-man midnight meet-up played Cards Against Humanity. It seems like a lot of us know one another (either from the Otakon meet-up or otherwise), so cookies or snacks seems like it could be fun. What do you all think?

Also, I'm happy to organize this if you guys want.
