Question Need help with Cure Peace Wig

So one of my next Cosplay projects will be Cure Peace from Smile! Precure.
If you don't know how her hair looks, look at this:

The last ponytail wig I've done, really turned out fine... but I got a headache from wearing it, it was too heavy...
That's why I'm asking for advice here
So what can I do to make it look like this one and still being good to wear?

How do you pin the wig to your head. For my heave wigs I use 4 large toupee clips along the fron hair line. I also use 4 small with combs along the back hair line to keep the wig in place.

For the ponytail I could carve upholstery foam into the shape for her ponytail. Paint it to match the fiber of the wig and cover the foam in hair.

i agree, foam then fibers for the ponytail. not only will it look more akin to the character, but it will be much lighter than a ton of hair

I made my last wig also with foam and I've put some hair clips (like those for extensions) under my hairline... and after wearing it for hours, it really started to hurt. Because of the constant pressure on my hairline :/
That's something I want to avoid if possible.
So what kind of foam would you suggest?
