Lookin pretty good. Few things though..
The first thing I noticed is that the pinkish red part is suppose to look like 8pack abs rather then squared off. The other thing I noticed is the part on you chest, You have it really low over your chest when it should be more above it. No one will really notice other then the super duper hardcore Gambit fans at the cons. I can't tell if it's your lighting but the coat looks a bit dark but you already said you are looking for a better one so....And your hair..Are you growing it out for the con? If you are that would be a good idea..

In a general just looking at it it looks well made though. You must have worked hard.

My only issue is the abs, I think they should look more natural then the square shape. By that I mean as natural looking as you can get with what you have to work with. Other then that it looks great.

I like it, especially how you didn't attempt to do abs. Comic costuming is the least realistic of any media. There is nothing skin tight that give the kind of definition of muscles portrayed in comics, so to be honest, why even try when you can still fit into the iconic character, and add realism.
