Halloween Playlist - suggestions (not just classic party songs)

So Im wanting a playlist to listen to this month, to get me even more excited for Halloween!! I would definitely add classic Halloween party songs, but I also want actual "artist" songs, if that makes any sense.

Im wanting songs that have that eerie/haunted/gothic sound or ambiance to them, for example like the music from Castlevania Lament of Innocence, or stuff like Evanescence. Recently I discovered the song "Stay With You" by Traci Hines (youtube link below), in a Hot Topic DIY Make Up video. Only thing is, the version of this song in the video is the Dark Angel Mix (remix), but its not on iTunes yet or anywhere to download. But I like the sound of that remix, wanting something like that, if you check out the youtube link you'll hear it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4NmVWdllpc

What I DONT want is death metal/screaming/grunting stuff.... >.< Techno is fine I guess, since a lot of remix stuff is technology based now.

This is what I have so far:

- Ghostbusters theme
- Thriller
- Monster Mash
- Toccata & Fugue in D Minor - Bach
- This is Halloween
- Grim Grinning Ghosts - WDW Haunted Mansion Ride
- Adams Family
- Johanna - Bobby Macky
- Paranormal Energy - Lords of Acid feat. Zak Bagans
- Dont Fear the Reaper -Blue Oyster Cult
- Evanescence
- Castlevania Lament of Innocence
- Stay With You - Traci Hines

Alright, I'll try and toss out some songs for you. XD I'm not sure about your toelrance of swearing, so I'll put a note by ones that have explicit content.

"Halloween" by Aqua
"Shady" by Adam Lambert [I think there's some mild language in here? Can't quite remember. XD]
"Dark Dreams" by Blood on the Dance Floor [There's an annoying talking bit that lasts a minute at the beginning, but whatever. Explicit language.]
"Madness of Duke Venomania" by Vocaloid (Gakupo)
"Alice of Human Sacrifice" by Vocaloid
"Matryoshka" by Vocaloid
"Rainbow Factory" by... okay, I forget the artist's name. XD It's a brony song, but even if you're not a brony it's creepy and good.

Sorry if you don't really like any of these. xD I don't really know your taste in music, but I tried, lol.

"Sleepy Little Creepy Little Town" by Jonah Knight

Most of Jonah's stuff is folk music with supernatural themes.

Wee, let me go check my library of ambient and goth music and things I learned in college music history....
Sisters of Mercy (for more techno-ey/new wave tunes- the group's from the 80's/early 90's)
Dead Can Dance
Septic Dreams album (yes, the whole thing) by Children of the Monkey Machine- all available free legally online, being an indie group)
Nightwish COULD work, being mostly symphonic metal, dunno what your tastes are there...
The Wolf's glen scene from the Der Freischutz opera (a lot of singing/speaking due to it being an opera, but it pioneered melodrama and did a DAMN good job of being terrifyingly creepy)
E Nomine (German electronica group, excellent for creepy lyrics in German and Latin, pseudo-religious themes with very dark music and odd ambient noises)
Dream of a Witches Sabbath by Hector Berlioz
Night on Bald Mountain by Modest Mussorgski
Most pieces composed by George Crumb ("Black Angels, Thirteen images from the dark land" series in particular)
"Danse macabre" by Camille Saint-saens (sp?)
Most Dies Irae compositions
Quite a lot of the FF7 Dirge of Cerberus soundtrack
And if you want a combination of ear-rape and creepy music, Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima by Krzystof Penderecki.

Hah! I'm glad I found this thread, as I was about to create one until I saw this.

Here is my contribution. It is from the Soul Eater anime, the song...apparently just "Halloween"!

Hold, Release, Rakshasa and Carcasses by Hatsune Miku (made by Hachi, also did Matryoshka but that's been suggested already)

Let's Go To Heaven by Hatsune Miku (made by Kikuo)

I'm Sorry, I'm Sorry by Hatsune Miku (Kikuo)

Breaking Things Into Pieces by Hatsune Miku (Kikuo)

Happy Death (Kikuo. So far only found on nicodouga)

Spectre of the Month (Kikuo. So far only found on nicodouga. Also one of the songs not translated into english so not sure on the title. Google Chrome calls it that).

Don't Look At Me That Way (Kikuo)

Grave-Sending Song by Kagamine Rin and Len (NOT the original, the fandub uploaded by VampiressSilecene is waaaaay better)

Trick and Treat by Kagamine Rin and Len

Mrs. Pumpkin's Comical Dream by Hatsune Miku (Hachi)

Hide and Seek by SeeU

Bacterial Contamination by Hatsune Miku

U.N Owen is Dead by Mohican Sandbag

Kikuo songs are not traditionally creepy so not certain if you would want them for a party or not. But, that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

I suggest "Mordred's Lullaby" by Heather Dale, "Blood Makes Noise" by Suzanne Vega, pretty much anything by Creature Feature, same by Voltaire, or some of Emilie Autumn's instrumentals.
I could go on.

Wait, I lied. Apparently Kikuo is more popular than I thought because Spectre of the Moon is on youtube under the name Moon Demon, I believe. So is Dust, Dust, Curse, Curse but that's not a "sounding creepy" song despite the disturbing lyrics.

Ward 305 by Hatsune Miku (Hachi)

Black and White Ward by Kagamine Rin and Len (also known as the Monochrome Ward)

Mind Your Eyes by Stolen Babies

The Bioshock soundtrack is pretty good if you're looking for something spooky music-wise.
One other song that comes to mind is 'Mack the Knife' by Bobby Darin, the song is about a hit man that goes around killing people. Let me say that it's an oldie, but it's wonderful.

I'm trying to search my Tumblr, since I've got approximately 62 songs that would work. CURSE YOU, USELESS TUMBLR SEARCH FUNCTION. I have pretty liberal definitions of "Halloween music", basically anything with an eerie, creepy sort of feel to it works. Um...

"The Killing Moon", Echo and the Bunnymen
"Somebody's Watching Me", Rockwell
"Wolf Like Me", TV On the Radio
"Bloodletting", Concrete Blonde
"Witchy Woman", Eagles
"Lullaby", The Cure
"Everything In Its Right Place", Radiohead
"Gloomy Sunday", Sarah McLachlan
"John Wayne Gacy, Jr.", Sufjan Stevens
"Werewolf", Cat Power
"Persephone", Cocteau Twins
"Weird Science", Oingo Boingo (p.s. Danny Elfman was in Oingo Boingo, so it's like extra-appropriate)
"Ghost Town", The Specials
"Anna Molly", Incubus
"Voodoo Dolly", Siouxsie and the Banshees
"Strange Times", The Black Keys
"Sleep Alone", Bat For Lashes
"Now I'm Feeling Zombified", Alien Sex Fiend
"Where the Wild Roses Grow", Nick Cave and Kylie Minogue
"Hell", The Squirrel Nut Zippers
"Cities in Dust", Siouxsie and the Banshees
"Sympathy For the Devil", Rolling Stones
"Red Right Hand", Nick Cave
"Hunting For Witches", Bloc Party
"Superstition", Stevie Wonder
"Black Magic Woman", Santana
"Walking On the Water", Creedence Clearwater Revival
"Party of the First Part", Bauhaus
"Devil With a Blue Dress On", Mitch Ryder
"Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)", Eurythmics (or the Marilyn Manson version, if you're into that)
"Psycho Killer", Talking Heads
"Monster Hospital", Metric

I could keep going like this.
