Waterproof paint sealant and fabric glue

Okay, I recently painted the soles (apart from the bottom) of my Thor boots (they're actually black plimsolls attached to boot cuffs covered with gold vinyl) using gold acrylic paint, and I was wondering if anyone here can recommend me a decent paint sealant or gloss that's waterproof.

Also, can anyone recommend me a strong fabric glue that doesn't have latex in it? Not that I'm allergic or anything, but I used Bostik glue to attach the vinyl to the area above the soles and it's now gone a bit gooey and sticky and is causing the vinyl to peel off.

I would prefer some UK-based brands, but any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Acrylic paint, when dry, is waterproof

Chances are it isn't the glue you used, but the fact that your gluing not-terribly-flexible vinyl to a shoe. shoes flex. Often the key to getting good adhesion on silicone or latex materials is pressure. Putting tight clamps on the things being glued together can go a long way in how well the bond holds up. In this case, it's rather challenging.

Try stuffing the shoe with paper really, really tightly. Glue the top on. Then wrap strips of fabric around the glued portion of the shoe as tightly as you can. Let sit for at least 4 hours.

As Penlowe mentioned acrylic itself is waterproof, but I believe mod podge is a great sealant , especially since the area is on the shoe where it will constantly be in contact with rough surfaces, so it might be a good idea to seal them anyway :3
