Chandra Nalaar Help

Ok, I would really like to get a Chandra Nalaar from Magic: The Gathering together. I'm posting this here because my main issue is that I'm not one hundred percent sure on where to go with her armour. I would like it to look as realistic as possible but I am also a college student so I'm on a budget. Does anyone know some simple/budget friendly ways and techniques to go about this. Also if you have tips on making the costume as well.

Here are some pictures of her. I know her armour isn't exactly the same in every image but its all about similar.

I would have to say that the last one is my favorite and the one I would like to be the closest to. If there is anything else that you would need to know ask and I will try to answer, or find a picture with what you need. I hope I have enough information for whatever you would need to help me out.

If you check some of the armor threads on this forum, you can find some tutorials on using craft foam; that's probably the cheapest, easiest thing you'll be able to make armor with.

Her chestpiece looks more like leather to me... If you want some easy texturing on that, you could make the base out of foam and then cover that in an upholstery vinyl.
Def up for interpretation though; it looks different in every art I've seen her in. x_x

As for the chain maille, instead of going the authentic route, you can chop up some pvc pipe and still learn how to make it.

Or there are other cheap alternatives:

You may be able to Google fabric that already looks like maille as well.

Good luck! Always nice to see more Magic costumers.

For her Binary cosplay, BelleChere did some flaming hair and hands that are nothing short of kick-ass, using theatrical lighting gels.
