Mass Effect 3 Fatigues?

Hi there -
I'm attempting to make the chap-like pocket things on the outside of Commander Shepard's fatigues, but I'm not sure what material to use for the white lines on the edges. Suggestions? Pattern making tips / advice also greatly appreciated!

hmm.... I'd probably go to the thrift store & find a pair of cargo pants and cut them down, they don't have to fit you, anything your size or bigger. You could sew them to the pants or belt them and put on separately.

The stripes on the jacket are easy, just get bias tape & sew/ glue it on.
Nothing is impossible, but some things are very expensive.

Thanks for the advice - I'll definitely try using the bias tape.

For the outer part of the pants though, I bought fabric and was planning on sewing them myself (I'm pretty petite, it's hard to find pants that fit me) and just wearing them over black skinny jeans. I'm just not sure what to use for the white lines on the outer edges. What material can curve like that?
