How to transport wigs?

Okay, so this year I'm taking more costumes than ever to a convention, and this means I have to get 7 wigs to and fro as well. I have very limited space due to trying to take all my stuff in one vehicle along with three other people and their stuff.

How do I transport these wigs? Last year I only brought 4 wigs, so I put them in a flat box, but this year that won't work and it will take too much space. ._.;;

Is it okay to put wigs in Ziploc bags? I figure I can put the ones that don't have weird styled parts into bags, but IDK if there's a better way.

Zip lock is actually the way I transport my wigs that don't have crazy styles. The ones that need wig heads I either hold or have any friends going with free hands help hold them. If you styles are mostly ones that won't get ruined in bags (meaning very lightly styled) then you should be fine that way.

Alright, sounds good! I only have two that can't be put in bags due to style. I think that's what I'll do then. :3

Oh yea, then you should be just fine that way. If you have a box though, I would use that since there are so many..Also, Try not to flatten them out like they are when you get them..It could take some styl out..In the box put them like on top of eachother softly. Like a medium flat rate box should be a good size and that's free lol as for the other two, if one of your friends going with has free hands ask them to hold those. Can't get those ruined lol Also be sure to remember to bring the styling items you used as you MAY need them again..I bring My spray and my hair dryer.

If you have any longer, loose hair wigs or wigs with a VERY simple style you can do in the hotel room, I would also recommend loosely braiding them to prevent tangling. That's how we transported my ex's Sesshoumaru wig and my Kagura wig in the trunk for a seven hour drive. My Kagura wig was just a simple a side bun that I had already practiced and knew would only take about fifteen minutes to restyle so I decided to braid the wig and redo it at the con to save myself the hassle of de-tangling or fixing up any possible mishaps that could happen to the style in transport. It also saved room since our back seat was full and the only place for our baggage and costumes was the trunk. For more complex styles, you can leave the wigs on an upright wig head in a box, ask one of your passengers if they mind holding one in their lap, or stack them gently in a box like JasonTerror said.

Any suggestions for the best method to move a styled & spiked wig (like a FF7 Cloud wig for example) if I'm flying to a con? I don't think I can fit it on the wig head, in a box, in my suitcase. I think that most airlines will let me bring a box as either a checked bag or a carryon. Would that be safest, or should I just ship it to the con?

I really really really don't want to have to restyle this sucker or deal with weirdly mashed spikes once I get there.

If u can carry it on do it. Pack it in the box with some packing peanuts to hold it up right. Odds are there will be a few spikes you need to fix but that would happen,even if you drove there.....
