Leather Batgirl (New 52) Belt and magnetic emblem [WIP]

I'm making my utility belt out of leather and lacing up the back to create the metallic plating look of her belt. Like this:

So far I've made the base, The design has been cut and beveled. All that's left is spraying painting it and hand painting some depth into the creases.

Before the cut:

After the cut:

I'm also going to lace it up with a finished, rawhide string.

My emblem I've made from a magnet covered with matching fabric and a piece that will go under my suit. I'm also making a spray painted version to see which one looks better.

Fabric version:

I'll post more pictures as I finish it up this week.

I would suggest cutting out a seperate emblem, the pattern of the front center of the belt, and then attaching it ontop of the belt. That will make the emblem really pop out. Also make those wigs a touch bigger than the ones on the belt for accuracy. The top of the belt is not entirely flat in the referance.
