Rocketeer

So this past weekend was my first Cosplay, I went as Gambit from the X-Men. It seamed to go over extremely well. Though it is a year away, I am planing on my next one as the title say I am going as the Roceteer.

Just need to ask if anyone has done this, and can give me some pointers on construction.

Yay, Rocketeer cosplay! This is also on my list to do... eventually.

There are dozens of people who have made screen-accurate/comic-accurate Rocketeer builds on theRPF.com forums. If you need tutorials or advice, especially on the rocket pack, that's the best place to look.

Rocketeer Pack

Hi,
So this year I finally put together my Rocketeer costume. I have a pair of original 1930s Cavalry breeches, a pair of original 1930s boots that fit like they were made for me, a made to measure South Beach jacket and a Studio Oz helmet, and while all of these look dead on accurate, I wasn't sure what to do about the pack. I went back and forth between the film and comic versions, and then one day as I was wandering around the darkened basement of a century old vacuum shop I literally stumbled over an intact 1930s Electrolux Model 30. This is the definitive Art Deco vacuum, designed by Lurelle Guild, and a month later I had the pack Peevy would have built. The thing came out perfectly, and it looks absolutely real. If anyone can tell me how to post pics from a file instead of a URL Ill put some up.

I'd love to see your pics! You need to create an album (Photos -> Album Administration), then upload the photos to that album (Photos -> Upload Photos), and then you can share the album link.
