Ant-Man helmet, harder than I thought

A friend came to me with a request I just could not deny...She asked if I could be her Ant-Man. Wasp needs Ant-Man with her, I couldn't just say no!! I got pretty excited for it, until I remember his helmet. I have thought, and thought, and thought, and just cannot think of any way to make one.

Please help me out! I do not want to disappoint her!

Something like this one would be nice

or this

The biggest problem you'll encounter first is the top shape of your head. There are two ways you can do this which is the cheap painful way or the easy costly way. Cheap painful way is to use cardboard to shape around your head getting the base of the helmet. Easy costly way is to buy a helmet that already fits your head.

Which ever way you choose, you then can build out from there building the ant man helmet.

Now here's where you need to choose what you want to build it with as there are many methods. For beginners or people just starting, I'd suggest either paper mache or craft foam to overlay it. For more experienced, I'd suggest using resin. Depending on your choice will then lead to further explanation.

I hope this helped.

I was thinking about using a helmet, but wasn't sure it was a goo idea. I think I will give it a shot.

You are a saint, my friend. Thank you very very much.

Now I just have to hope that I can make it, haha.

Looking at the shape, you could modify a Captain America pepakura helmet with ear covers, chin strap, and antennae
