So, I'm looking into cosplaying Ty Lee!


I have the costume picked out that I'm probably going to buy.
I'm looking for her red ballet flats relatively cheap. (I'm a size 11. Huge feet, I know!)
I'm also not sure entirely where to find a wig, since her hair is in a high ponytail, and it's hard to get wigs to look like that. Does anyone know if there's a wig out there <$50? It doesn't have to be braided, but I don't want it layered and it needs to be in a high pony.

For the ballet flats:

You could probably find some at Wal Mart for about 5 bucks and then use fabric paint (I think Wal Mart is carrying that too, lol) on it and a piece of fabric to go over your foot to act as the strap as well as the shoe itself. This will keep the colors matching. Use velcro instead of making a functioning button and just sew the button on top of that.
