Cosplay Star is an international cosplay competition for solo cosplayers that takes place in Bulgaria. Cosplay Star 2013 is the second edition of the competition and will be part of PlayExpo 2013.

This year we are making some changes in the rules of the competition. The cosplayers can compete in 2 main categories – Cosplay of game characters, and Cosplay of any other type of character (anime/manga/movie/cartoon/comic book/popular musician, etc.) Your costume must be based on a picture of the original character. Original design costumes (invented by you) can’t be part of this competition, because this isn’t a fashion show, but you can always wear and present them as part of the audience. The competition for each category will be held on a separate day. That way the participants can compete in the both categories with 2 different costumes. Of course we’ll give again the chance to the public to select their favorite cosplay. With an online voting in our facebook profile a few days before the event, everyone will have the possibility to vote and the biggest number of likes will decide the winner of the “Audience Choice Award”.
It’s not possible to participate with a costume that is already presented in Cosplay Star 2012!
We reserve the rights to change the rules and if we do, it will be publicly announced!


The winners in the 2 main categories will receive the following prizes:

1st place – € 1000

2nd place – € 350

3rd place – € 150
