Brandon's mom thought I was the reason he didn't go to church or get baptized and was worried I was converting him. This from a woman I lived with for a year who didn't find out I was Atheist until like..8 months in. Boyfriend hasn't gone to church in YEARS. Like. Many many years before we even knew one another. Hell, I would have been in like..Louisiana!

On a forum website I frequented years before Coscom I was openly discussing my Atheism with folks on the forum and from that point out I would get hate mail from girls as young as 10.

I got a 10 year old telling me that their pastor father was sending me to hell.
And reaffirmation letters shortly after from the father.

Nothing makes you saddened for society quite so much as a ten year old kid sending you a curse-filled letter because you aren't Christian.

I know most people would just say they don't 'know better', but they do.They're being taught to behave that way. That's what makes it so sad. They don't know any better because they never where taught not to.

Some college study showed that people ranked Atheists along with rapists and murderers in terms of morality and viewed us as being less educated along with being more unwilling to hire an Atheist over someone of religion. ANY religion. Not just Christianity. When viewing the results of how they viewed people of other religions (not including Atheists or Agnostics) they ranked Muslims at the lowest (way to go USA) with some pretty harsh sentiments but stated they would hire a Muslim individual over an Atheist because we're supposedly that immoral.

Yes, people are annoying little shit faces sometimes. People who shove their belief at you like a flaccid penis to the fluffer are really awful to be around.

But it get's kind of old hearing about how annoyed everyone is with Atheists. I haven't seen anyone post an adorable little cartoon about Jewish folks on Reddit being bigoted or complain about this Buddhist girl they know on Facebook always shoving her religion down their throats.
