Does anyone every one cosplay as their orginal character?

I know I'm planning on cosplaying as an OC for my next convention in March!
Future Cosplays:
- Fire Emblem: Marth
- Final Fantasy VII: Cloud

Upcoming Events:
ASTL 2015, Colossalcon 2015, Youmacon 2015

I do! For years I've been drawing skyscrapers in personified form, and now I've taken to cosplaying them. Chrysler Building's my next project I figure cosplaying such an iconic structure with a hella cool costume will get lots of attention, even if it IS original. That, and I like to poke holes in stereotypes about OCs like "They're all lazy, not real cosplay, etc"

I cosplay OC's ALL THE TIME! I do it for:
  • Angel Beats!
  • K-on!
  • Hyakko
  • The Gentlemen's Alliance Cross
  • Vampire Knight
I love doing them and don't listen to people who say "Oh you should do a character!" ....I have this fear of being glomped so I do OC's as that way I don't have to hear: "OMG -insert character name here- I am not touchy feely... so I do OC"s to blend in but get funny pictures with characters from the shows and I cosplay from school themed animes so I can easily be X student from X show

I've pretty much only made OC costumes so far! I'm only now branching into making a costume for a character that isn't mine, which is rather the opposite of how most cosplayers do it, I think.

I'm going to my 1st con in march and I'm going as an OC but also as a character, it's original style clothes and weapons but its for a character already popular. Actually the character is the one in my forum avatar right up there.

I like doing originals now, I might keep it up for a good while
