Modifying a Zentai suit?

So for my upcoming batman costume, I want to cosplay as an original version of the character, whose costume has alternating areas of dark and medium grey. My plan is to take this zentai suithttp://www.zentai-zentai.com/batman-...ducts-492.html and add fabric to the areas that I want to be a different color. My question is will this work? And if so, what's the best way to attach the fabric?

Will having it on a dummy be close enough?

The fabrics need to match in stretchiness. A logo or small detail can work as a non stretch attached to a stretch under suit, but for the big color blocks you are doing for Batman (and a dozen other characters I can think of with color blocked outfits), they really need to both move & stretch in the same way.

A dummy is suitable if it is actually your size, either a good adjustable dressmakers form or a duct tape double. Store mannequins are NOT suitable for fitting garments of any type as they are often disproportionate and only match the size of about 3% of people.
Nothing is impossible, but some things are very expensive.

My Etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/penlowe I make non-fitted custom things to ship within the continental US. I only do fitted garments for those whom I can meet in person.
