Greetings and salutations!
Hi everyone!
I've been skimming the forums for about a week, but I was drooling over everyone's amazing pictures on and off for maybe the past year. And since I'm about to attend my first con, I thought it would be prudent to finally get brave and start talking to you guys. I've been cosplaying since I was little, before I knew what it was. I'm an author and a writer so stories have always been a big deal to me, and I've always enjoyed feeling that cool closeness with a character that you get wearing their clothes and trying to feel out the physical world as they might. I had the amazing fortune of meeting a wonderful friend who shared my interests, and through her, meeting an entire group of like-minded people. So I really dove in headfirst about a year ago and it looks like it's only going to get better/crazier from here on out. Not that I mind! Cosplays thus far: -Captain Janeway (Star Trek Voyager) -River Song (Doctor Who) -Molly Hooper (Sherlock) -Sherlock (Sherlock) -Irene Adler (Sherlock) I'm in the middle of making about a dozen more costumes - characters from Doctor Who, The Avengers, Disney's Atlantis, Avatar The Last Airbender, Harry Potter, X-Men, The Hunger Games, Castle, and CSI Miami. Yeah, sort of a weirdly diverse group there... Anyway, I'm looking forward to talking to all of you! Thanks for reading!!
