Exclamation Plugsuit help!

I'm planning on cosplaying Ao in his plugsuit to Anime Boston 2013.
I know what Im going to do for the dark blue pants part but what I need help is with the arms, chest part and how I should make the helmet.
  • The helmet glass front lifts up in a way like a motorcycle helmet does.
  • The top sleeves are poofy especially around the fingers and up to the elbow.
  • The shoulders are broad(? poofy too) and sort of pointy.
  • The designs on the sleeves and stomach confuse me as to how I would make them and put them on.

I just need recommendations like how I should do it or how I could make it. I don't know what type of material to use for it so I just need alot of help, any help is great I really appreciate it so much, thank you!
Pictures are here.

The way it looks to me is that it is skin tight, my suggestion for the 'pants' part is to invest in a leather 'catsuit', think dominatrix or catwoman outfit.

Then make the white part and the sleeves separate and place them on top. How to go about making that piece I am not sure but it will look closer to the outfit by having the leather or faux leather suit under it.

fair warning though is that you will have the zipper showing and it will be very warm if you are in the heat to long but either way it will be a warm cosplay. I hope this helps a bit.

I agree with two separate pieces.
There is a technique where you sew jersey fabric over upholstery foam and it gives a pretty nifty effect, it's commonly used to do big mascot type costumes.
