This is a great place to learn more, and the forum there is where I learned the most about Lolita: http://www.lolitafashion.org/
Also, don't forget to wear a petticoat with this. I wear an organza one from Qutieland.
Thanks! I already know about the basics of Lolita, so I won't screw up the basics atleast. :B

Essentially they are just a bunch of lace and ruffles added to the original design, but there's also a lot of nice little details on these like heart-shaped apron tops, pockets or designs on the apron skirts, buttons in themed shapes, etc. I think it's a pretty flexible idea, but details are really important in this sort of outfit. I hope that's helpful!
Oh, Meiki replied to my post!!! *squees*
I did not know that Alice themed was really popular. I knew that some dresses existed, but I didn't realize that the community was in love with it at one point! The links were extremely
helpful. I noticed that some dresses are more plain than others, but I can see how they get the idea of Lolita fashion across (from plain to elaborate). I really like the pintucks, heart shaped aprons and buttons and the idea of lace around the pockets.
I'm glad to know that I can add lace, I just need to make sure it doesn't look like a lace monster threw up on my dress! Again, thank you so much for taking the time to find examples for me! I really appreciate it!
(thanks to you, I now know of a new site to find more pictures of dresses)
