Elycium- you could always use craft foam instead. It wouldn't look as real as feathers, of course, and sealing would make them a bit delicate, but it is a nice alternative and can look really great.

I'd love to make a Pitch cosplay for my boyfriend, since Pitch looks like an animated version of him. It'd be so... simple! (she said, overconfident and oh-so-foolish).

I did love the movie. I can't wait to see it again!

What do you guys think about doing a crossover outfit for the characters?
I found a beautiful Assassins Creed design for Tooth (the artist has yet to upload the others), and I've seen some LotR ones as well.

I'm actually headed out right now to pick up a hoodie or two for a Jack Frost cosplay. Kohls has the perfect style on sale for like... $15 on their website. I think it's the men's Tek Gear one if I remember correctly.

If painting the frost on it turns out well, I might make extras for my artist alley table down at Katsucon.

Wow so many Jack cosplayers <3 I'm awaiting my wig and base hoodie for him in the mail, and the staff is just gonna be a reworking of the top of my Xellos staff. Can't wait to paint the hoodie *squees*

Figured out my staff. I did end up cutting up a real branch and glueing/ screwing it back together. It still needs sanded and some touchups, but it worked pretty well. (Ignore the horrible photo quality. I'll get better pics later with the costume.)

I started on my elf costume. Using a hula hoop for the bottom. Only spent about $25 on it so far since JoAnns had felt on sale. Just need striped socks and a green sleeved shirt.

I never thought of doing an elf cosplay. That will be so cute!

It did die a bit, at least here. Still pretty active on tumblr though, especially with the crossover stuff like HiJack and The Big Four (Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons).

The impending DVD release might bring it back up some. Also, it's coming to be spring/summer and most of the characters lend themselves more to winter months.

Your cosplay came out really nice and I love the second shot. You're lucky to have somewhere nearby that lends itself to photoshoots.
