Unhappy Make up for an african, please

I want to get face make up that is white in order to cosplay as Amaterasu from the game Okami. But the face make-ups that I try on my face are not so good. So, I'm looking for any oil based white make up that can really cover my face. I am also looking for white lipstick too. Any suggestions?

(Note- like I said in the title of this thread, I'm African American.)

ur going to want body paint. but i wouldn't use an oil base..... check out water activiated make ups like krylon aquacolor or ben nye or wolfe fx. two coats of this will give a perfect look, it also doubles as a lip color. seal it with final spray and it takes forever to come off

I have tried the aquacolor, it did not work well. But I am interested in the wolfe fx . I'm just worried if the water base is going to be like the aquacolor. I might get the Professional Essentials 90g White...

Also, where can I get some final spray?

I would suggest ordering samples from Camerareadycosmetics.com. They have Ben Nye, Graftobian, Kryolan, and Mehron. A little pricy at $3.99 a pop, but potentially worth trying different products/brands until you find what works for you.

Same what everyone else suggested! It always good to experiment. Personally I wouldn't go for oil-based, it's uncomfortable and doesn't stay on well. If you're having trouble keeping it set on your face, have you thought about using a makeup fixative spray? Do you also use any primer and setting powder?

Both Kryolan Aquacolor and Wolfe FX are water activated makeups. Kryolan is a glycerin base and Wolfe is a parafin base. Wolfe has the highest pigment concentrate.

Kryolan Aquacolor will cover dark skin tones. Each product does have a learning curve.

That being noted I'd go with Wolfe FX white. It is the most opaque white on the market. White is the hardest color to apply when striving for q smooth opaque look. It takes practice. Your goal is to apply with brush or sponge it as thin as possible for the most solid, smooth opaque finish. Do not use it too wet or too dry, You have to get a feel for it.

If you decide to put a fixing spray over ir with Wolfe I's avoid pump spray and go areosol.

Trust us, forget the oil based makeups. They have a better tendency to streak in application and come off. They are only set (fixed aka sealed) with powder.
