Female Ezio - Completed!

Hi all!

Just wanted to share the Assassin's Creed costume I made a couple months ago for the Edmonton Expo and for Halloween.

It was my first costume I've ever made and actually the first time I've ever really sewed so it was quite a learning curve. But I got a lot of help and patterns from http://www.assassinscostume.com
The guy who made all the tutorials is awesome and very thorough.

I based it off of Ezio from Assassin's Creed 2 and just tweaked it a bit because I wanted to feminize it

I made the two dual blades out of ball bearing slides. I made a locking mechanism so when I pulled on a string (which was attached to a ring on my finger) the blade would slide out.

It made a really awesome clinky metal slidey noise when it slided out, haha
The blade moves in and out by gravity so all I would have to to do retract them was put my arm up, pull back on the string and they would drop back into hidden position. Really cool!

Anyways I just wanted to share that and would love to help anyone on their costumes too

I have to tell you your costume inspired me to switch from Elizabeth form Bioshock to Ezio for MegaCon this year. Now I've got to get sewing because I've got about three months to go.
What fabric did you use for your costume? It lays better than most I've seen so far on the web.

Thanks, I'm glad I inspired you!

That fabric I found was almost a thick canvas type fabric. Not really sure what name it has. For Ezio you definitely want an off-white and more stiff type of fabric. His in game is actually a grey-white. The red fabric is just a normal type, pretty thin and I think the reason I got it was because it was cheap Hope this helps!

Question! I really love your idea and I am trying to feminize one as well. I was looking through the videos on the site you linked. Did you just leave out the shirt in general and just have the under and upper tunic?
