Engine grease?
Hello! I'm going to be cosplaying Kaylee Frye from Firefly in June. She's a mechanic and to add some character to the costume I wanted to make it look like I have smudges of engine grease on my face and maybe clothes as well. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what makeup (preferably an inexpensive one) would create this effect?

Eyeshadow mixed with Vaseline might work.

What would happen if you actually checked around in your car in costume? I know when I mess around with my car (checking oil levels etc) I tend to get some grease on me.
